FIELD: inorganic syntheses. SUBSTANCE: prepared is manganese dioxide consisting of particles having thread-like protrusions visible on 200-2000-fold magnification. Preparation consists in interaction of MNSO4 and Na2S2O8 in solution to produce reaction mixture containing precipitate of gamma-MnO2 that is separated and dried. Hybrid material is distinguished by its preparation, wherein gamma-MnO2 is precipitated on surface of substrate, particles of precipitated material having protrusions as indicated above. Active material of cathode of electrolytic cell consists of gamma-MnO2 with the same thread-like protrusions. EFFECT: increased purity of gamma-manganese dioxide. 15 cl, 16 dwg
