FIELD: agriculture, plant growing. SUBSTANCE: method is based upon 20-min-long moistening seeds in warm (30-35 C) aqueous solution of cryoprotective amino acid of proline followed by 30-min- long drying up. Then seeds should be grown up in germinators upon aqueous solution of saccharose and proline mixture. Then seeds undergo gradual cold hardening for 8 d at 0-5 C. Sprouts of seeds should be additionally sprayed with 0.01 M-aqueous solution of proline. Plant safety after cold hardening in cooling chamber is increased by 35-40% against the control. EFFECT: higher efficiency of protection. 1 tbl
