FIELD: mining and other industries. SUBSTANCE: this relates to devices intended for recovering gold and platinum-bearing sands. Device can also be used in systems for cleaning water basins, as well in construction and other branches of national economy. Centrifugal separator is made up of upper cylindrical part of body and lower tapered part of body which is provided with unit for discharge of fine fraction and heavy fraction of material. Tangential pipe connection is used for delivery of mineral suspension and it is made of electrically non-conducting material. Installed coaxially and movably on external side of pipe connection is metal detector such as electromagnetic type, which is connected with detention line. Cylindrical part of body is provided with pipe connection for discharge of mineral suspension containing technologically small amount of valuable components. It also has gate valves with operating mechanisms. One gate valve is installed at lower base of cylindrical part of body for additional separation of mineral suspension with immiscible liquid. Other gate valve is installed in pipe connection for discharge of mineral suspension with technologically low content of valuable components. Application of aforesaid embodiment of centrifugal separator ensures higher technological and economic characteristics of concentration process. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 2 dwg
