FIELD: devices for extraction of gold and platinum-containing sands; water basin purification units; construction engineering and other industries. SUBSTANCE: proposed centrifugal separator includes cylindrical housing with reflectors, mineral suspension discharge branch pipe and gate valves, light and heavy fraction unloading units made in form of taper part with helical grooves on inner surface; it is filled with liquid which is immiscible with mineral suspension where valuable components are accumulated in form of ring. Tangential branch pipe for supply of mineral suspension is connected to lower base of cylindrical part; it is made from non-conducting material with detector showing amount of metallic inclusion secured movably and electrically connected with delay line. Guides made on inner surface of tangential branch pipe are curvilinear in shape; their curvature has positive direction of rotation of helical line; taper part has helical grooves at curvature of negative direction of rotation of helical line.
