FIELD: metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: method consists in layer-by-layer charging of titanium and iron wastes into crucible followed by induction melting. Initially, 10-20% of total titanium waste is loaded and then total amount of iron waste and layer of remaining titanium. Melting is carried out under vacuum at inductor current power 1.5-2.0 kW per 1 kg of loaded charge. EFFECT: enhanced process efficiency. 1 tbl
