SHOT NOISE MUFFLER OF FIREARMS Russian patent published in 1998 - IPC

FIELD: firearms. SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to muffle noise, to change character and intensity of demasking factors of shot. Shot noise muffler includes gas conduit, device to remove powder gases from gas conduit and heat exchanger for their cooling fabricated in the form of flow vessel housing partitions with holes and carrying layer of material with capillary- porous structure filled with liquid cooling agent located on internal surface of it. Flow vessel is joined to gas conduit with use of branch pipe inclined towards outlet of gas conduit. Its inlet part has convex profiled member. Muffler ensures decreased level of shot noise from firearms, change of character and intensity of demasking factors of shot in visible and infrared regions. EFFECT: decreased level of shot noise and of shot demasking factors in visible and infrared regions. 3 cl, 1 dwg
