FIELD: prospecting for minerals resources. SUBSTANCE: method is intended for increased authenticity and resolution while conducting electric and seismic prospecting on combined geological sections by continuous profiling with use of sources of electric field and interference sources of elastic waves. System initiating mechano-electric processes in heterogeneous medium is formed by way of simultaneous action on it with sources of electric field and elastic waves with intensity exceeding natural background of noises. First parameters of system under which intensity of processes in medium is maximal are found. Summary time to perform observations by seismic and electric prospecting is determined by law of change of intensity of electric field after switching off of sources. Parameters of these systems of observations on geological sections with initiated processes are determined. Observations on geological sections are carried out. But first initiation system is used to act on medium, then observations are performed over same interval of geological section in turn first by electric prospecting and then by seismic prospecting. After this system is moved by interval of conducting of operations by electric prospecting and cycle is repeated. EFFECT: increased authenticity and resolution of method. 3 dwg
