FIELD: communications engineering. SUBSTANCE: improved level of communication services is ensured in case of small number of channels communicating with remote switchboards due to reduced number of interlocks in main switching station. In addition, use is made of virtual connecting channels; remote switchboard channel is connected to conflicting channel of spatial switchboard of main switching station without introducing additional switching device due to organizing virtual connecting channel and using repeated search of communication channel.
