FIELD: electrochemical machining of surfaces. SUBSTANCE: given method can be used to determine moment of termination of electrolytic-plasma machining while removing wear-and heat-resistant coats containing valve metal in its composition from steel surfaces. Method includes measurement of variable component of current and analysis of its change in time. Electric circuit incorporates instrument resistor, oscillograph measuring variable component of current by change of voltage across instrument resistor. Moment of termination of process is established with change of amplitude of variable component of current by 2% during not less than 2 min. EFFECT: enhanced quality of machined surfaces. 5 dwg
