FIELD: measurement equipment.
SUBSTANCE: high voltage is applied between a processed part being an anode and a cathode. Values of current density j and high voltage U are measured. Roughness of surface during processing is determined as per the following formula: Ra=Rmin+(R0-Rmin)/exp(t/(τ0+k1j+k2U)), where Rmin - minimum achieved surface roughness for the used electrolyte; R0 - initial value of surface roughness of the processed part; t - time; j - current density; U - voltage; τ0 - average value of time constant; k1, k2 - proportionality coefficients depending on the part material, nature and concentrate of electrolyte. Values τ0, k1, k2 are calculated as per a family of calibration traces of relationship between time constant of roughness reduction and voltage U and current density j.
EFFECT: increasing quick action of the measurement.
