FIELD: laser detection and ranging. SUBSTANCE: process is based on formation of adjusting laser beam over transmitting channel, visualization of direction to guidance point with coordinates εн, βн and matching of adjusting laser beam with visualized direction to aiming point. Current position εт, βт, of adjusting laser beam is found before matching of adjusting laser beam with visualized direction, required position of guidance mirror is determined and set. After matching of adjusting laser beam with visualized direction to aiming point direction of sighting line is visualized, mark oriented relative to axes of topocentric coordinate system in direction opposite to aiming point is formed, image of mark is formed over receiving channel and linear and angular mismatch of mark and of its image are compensated.
