METHOD FOR REPAIR OF ROOFS WITH METAL BEAMS Russian patent published in 1998 - IPC

FIELD: construction, in particular, methods of overhaul; may be used in repair and modernization of roofs with metal beams of old residential buildings. SUBSTANCE: method includes cleaning of metal beams from layered rust after disassembly of beam fill of old roof. Then, installed over lower design plane of new roof is any prefabricated reusable forms and lower reinforcing members in the form of net. Installed symmetrically with respect to beams in interbeam space are hole-forming cores, between which flat reinforcing cages are mounted, if required. Then upper reinforcing members are installed. Number of reinforcing members and reinforcing cages are determined with taking into account of residual load-carrying capacities of old roof metal beams without their reinforcement. New roof is concreted by supply of concrete mix, for instance, by concrete pump and subsequent placing of concrete mix by any known methods and equipment.
