FIELD: radio engineering; microwave heater radiators.
SUBSTANCE: novelty is that short-circuited section of rectangular waveguide and/or long radiating slit therein are heterogeneous. This slit may be disposed on wide or narrow wall of waveguide section in parallel with its axis. In addition, slit disposed on wide wall may be displaced to narrow wall and disposed at angle of maximum 10 deg. to narrow wall, or it may be curvilinear with its profile deflecting toward narrow wall when it is distant from source. Curvilinear slit may be assembled of two straight-line sections placed at acute angles to waveguide axis, angle for part of slit abutting against short-circuited end being greater than that for its part on source end. As an alternative, slit may be expanding toward short-circuited end of waveguide section. All design alternates of radiator may have heterogeneous waveguide section with linearly reducing waveguide height toward short-circuited end.
EFFECT: enhanced uniformity of power distribution in radiator near zone and enhanced efficiency.
