FIELD: manufacture of materials through roasting of carbonate raw material in rotary furnaces (magnesite, dolomite, etc); manufacture of refractory materials. SUBSTANCE: rotary furnace includes body, lining consisting of ribbed and smooth sections and burners. Beginning of section with smooth lining is made at distance equal to 30-55% of total length of furnace from loading end; end of lining is located at distance equal to 80-90% of total length of furnace from loading end. Rotary furnace ensure performance of roasting process under optimal conditions at increased density and homogeneity of material being roasted. EFFECT: increased output and reduced fuel consumption. 2 dwg
