FIELD: cardiac surgery. SUBSTANCE: method is effected by suturing of fibrous ring of mitral valve by two oncoming pursestring sutures over the entire perimeter with due consideration of dangerous zones. Sutures are tightened on tourniquets under the control of hydraulic test for determination of optimal grade of narrowing of fibrous ring. EFFECT: adequate restoration of obturative function of mitral valve, objective control of elimination of mitral insufficiency and reduced probability of disease recurrence. 1 dwg
