SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of isomerization of the branched carboxylic acids, to a process of isomerization of at least a single saturated branched carboxylic acid at heating. Process is carried out in the presence of effective amount of iridium catalyst and iodine or bromine promoter at molar ratio promoter/Ir = 0.1/1-20/1.
