SUBSTANCE: butadiene or one of its derivatives is oxycarbonylated with carbon monoxide and water at pressure above atmospheric pressure in the presence of crotyl chloride in amount of at least two molar per mole of palladium, catalytic palladium is added at least portionwise in the form of crotyl complex, and water is present in reaction medium in amount of less or equal to 20 wt % with respect to reaction medium weight, and butadiene or its derivative in concentration of at least 0.2 wt % with respect to reaction medium weight.
