FIELD: organic chemistry, chemical technology. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method of separation of a mixture of aliphatic saturated branched diacids with six carbon atoms and adipic acid by conversion, at least partially, of the above indicated acids to the corresponding anhydrides. Method of dehydration of aliphatic saturated acids is carried out by heating the mixture containing their at 60 C or above in the presence of acidic homogeneous or heterogeneous catalyst in anhydride medium or some aliphatic monobasic or polybasic acid anhydrides. Solvent is added to mixture to be treated that is one of compounds presenting in reaction mixture and obtaining from the method of synthesis of adipic acid and diacids to be dehydrated or other solvent.
