FIELD: organic chemistry. SUBSTANCE: invention proposes derivatives of benzimidazole of the general formula (I) 
where R1 - alkyl with 1-3 carbon atoms, hydrogen, fluorine, chlorine or bromine atom; R2 is oxazole-4-yl; R3 - alkyl with 2-4 carbon atoms; R4 - carboxyl, cyano-group, their salts and hydrates. New compounds show valuable pharmacological property, in part, they are antagonists of angiotensin-II and exhibit low toxicity. Invention proposes also a pharmaceutical composition showing antagonistic activity with respect to angiotensin-II which contains benzimidazoles of the formula (I) as an active component and at least one an usual inert vehicle. EFFECT: new compounds indicated above, improved properties. 7 cl
