METHOD FOR ERECTION OF FRAMEWORK FOR STORIES ADDED TO DWELLING BUILDING Russian patent published in 1998 - IPC

FIELD: construction engineering. SUBSTANCE: this relates to methods for erection of steel framework for added stories at reconstruction of dwelling buildings primarily having up to five stories. According to method, erected at end of existing building is assembly rig with application of checking plates of columns in function of supporting members of assembly rig. Then, enlarging assembly of module framework is effected. Supporting plates of columns of module being enlarged are installed and temporarily secured at design elevation mark on checking plates of columns at end part of existing building. Installed are tracks for transportation of modules. Mounted are end locks and catches for bringing module to design position. Mounted on transportation track lines are sliding beams of transformation jig. Erected on sliding beams are load-bearing structures of transportation jig. Load-bearing structures are fastened to framework columns, removed are fasteners between supporting plates and checking plates of columns. By means of checking nuts, gradually lowered to section of assembly rig are checking plates of columns, thus transmitting load from assembly rig to transportation jig. Lowered by means of checking nuts are checking plates of columns on entire way of transporting module. Module is now moved on transportation jig to mounting place. This movement of module is performed at design elevation mark. Checking plates are raised above columns of module which is brought home to design position. Checking plates are connected with supporting plates of columns. Transportation jig and transportation track lines under module which is positioned home in its own place are dismantled. Application of aforesaid method for erection of framework for stories added to existing building in reconstruction of dwelling building allows to perform all necessary operations principally without moving tenants from this building and at sufficient safety.
