FIELD: mining machinery and equipment. SUBSTANCE: operating member of mining machine can be used in heading and extracting mining combines. Operating member has body, rock-crushing tools, passages for delivery of spraying liquid, and jet-forming devices. Rock-crushing tools are secured on body. Passages for delivery of spraying liquid are made in body. Jet-forming devices are located at outlet of corresponding passages intended for delivery of spraying liquid. Each jet-forming device is adapted for turning relative to body of operating member and also for being fixed in intermediate positions. Application of aforesaid embodiment of operating member of mining machine allows for reduction of spraying liquid flow rate at adjustment of operating member of mining machine and ensures effective cooling of rock-crushing tool at changing position of its cutting part.
