SUBSTANCE: device has microwave master oscillator and at least one microwave power amplifier made in the form of virtual-cathode device incorporating vacuum chamber, cathode, and grid anode which are coaxial relative to vacuum chamber; it also has beam output window arranged on chamber axis as well as two diametrically opposing side windows for external coupling provided on side wall of chamber; one of coupling windows is coupled by means of waveguide and flange joint with master oscillator and other window is loaded into waveguide section with matched load or short- circuited piston on its end; novelty is that device has two-wire line section interconnecting coupling windows which is placed into vacuum chamber of power amplifier. EFFECT: improved amplification efficiency due to concentrating microwave field built up by microwave oscillator within virtual cathode shaping region inside vacuum chamber of microwave power amplifier. 1 dwg
