FIELD: plastic metal working, in particular, cold rolling on multistand mills. SUBSTANCE: method includes application to semi-finished rolled product of rolling oil containing mineral oil, antiwear additive and emulsifying agent; metal deformation between rolls with supply to rolls of water-oil emulsion whose oil component contains mineral oil, antiwear additive and emulsifying agent. Another additive of rolling oil is used in the form of synthetic fat acids of fraction not below C17 in the amount of not less than 0.5 wt.%. Antiwear additive of oil component of emulsion is used in the form of synthetic fat acids of fraction C10-C16 in the amount of not less than 1 wt. %. Besides, used in composition of rolling oil may be mineral oil with viscosity exceeding the viscosity of mineral oil included in oil component of emulsion by 1.2 times. In this case, amount of emulsifying agent in rolling oil is maintained at the level which is 1.3-15 times as low as amount of emulsifying agent in oil component of emulsion.
