FIELD: measurement technology. SUBSTANCE: method refers to measurement of parts of types of shafts and brackets. Column with two measuring heads having same overhangs of measuring probes is put on locating plane. Basing prism is also mounted on locating plane in position in which bisector plane of prism is perpendicular to axes of measuring probes. Centering mandrel is placed in hole of measurement object. Measurement object is anchored with external cylindrical surface on basing prism and is rotated on it till readings of measuring heads are equalized. Deviation of reading of one of heads from adjusted value is used to evaluate deviation of sought-for distance. Specified method is more accurate than existing ones thanks to increased reliability of basing. EFFECT: improved accuracy of method. 1 dwg
