FIELD: separating devices. SUBSTANCE: this separator can be used in chemical, food, medical and other fields of industry. Separator has shaft-mounted rotor with cover. Located inside rotor is central perforated pipe for delivery of suspension into separator. Installed on perforated pipe is separating member which is made in the form of metal band shaped like spiral with spiral surface and inclined generating line crosses axis of rotor at permanent angle. Direction of rising spiral surface coincides with direction of rotor rotation. Application of aforesaid embodiment of separator ensures intensive settling of solid phase particles and increases degree of separating suspensions. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 1 dwg
