LOCKING DEVICE Russian patent published in 1999 - IPC

FIELD: locking devices for railway cars and other transport facilities which required attachment of lead-seals. SUBSTANCE: device has body with cover, length of cable whose one end is rigidly secured in body and other end is drawn through body forming loop; it is secured by means of spring-loaded locking member made in form of right parallelepiped mounted turnably in body and engageable with lateral surface of length of cable by cylindrical surface of bottom of slot made in one of its ends eccentrically relative to outer cylindrical surface of this end. Locking member is loaded by means of compression spring made from round wire. Body is provided with inclined bore for receiving one end of cable length and securing it by means of pin; free end of cable length is received by two coaxial through holes in lateral surface of body forming loop in closing. EFFECT: high mechanical strength and enhanced reliability of locking. 8 cl, 3 dwg
