Abstract RU 2126529 C1

FIELD: instrumentation engineering. SUBSTANCE: level gauge has free float. Image from float surface is introduced into digital computing device by means of television camera. Liquid level calculation is performed in computing device on basis of obtained digital display of initial image. Obtained result is shown on display. Printer listing is also possible. Provision is made for multichannel measurements. Television camera may be fitted with float illumination device. Reservoir airtightness is preserved due to separation of camera from reservoir internal space by means of transparent window. Absence of float loading by measuring device and digital method of processing provide for high measurement accuracy. When computing device is completed with modem for coupling to telephone line remote measurements not only within hundreds of meters provided by wire communication, but also at any distance covered by telephone line become possible. Introduction of calibration table of definite reservoir into digital computing device makes it possible to obtain liquid volume values automatically along with level measurement.
