FIELD: medicine; ophthalmology. SUBSTANCE: protein is determined in patient's biological fluid of traumatized eye conjuctival sac. Then level of R-protein is determined in tear taken from lacrimal lake, and if level of R-protein exceeds 6.0 titers development of purulent complications is forecasted. In cases of eyeball penetrating wounds given method estimates forecasting of development of infectious complications more objectively. Method provides for early diagnostics (during the first three days) of purulent complications which is especially important for correction of treatment procedures.
