FIELD: hydraulic engineering. SUBSTANCE: floating caisson can independently keep on water surface by means of floating tanks and maintain in preset position by means of mooring lines. Floating caisson has central shaft and passing through this shaft are vertical pipes which are intended for drilling and/or recovering purposes. One or more plates are extended from caisson in radial direction below water surface. These plates provide additional mass and resistance to movement caused due to effect of waves. And this is obtained due to increased period of natural vibrations of caisson. Aforesaid embodiment of floating caisson allows for building caissons with less draught and this finally results in reduced expenses for their manufacture. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 3 cl, 3 dwg
