VERTICAL TUBE AIR COOLER Russian patent published in 1999 - IPC

FIELD: cooling equipment. SUBSTANCE: vertical body of air cooler houses tray , air fan and rows of heat exchange tubes with outer plate ribs installed in series along movement of air. Plate ribs are manufactured in the form of ribs and cylindrical bushings anchored on tubes in series and butt- joined. Planes of butts of bushings are parallel and inclined at angle of 30 deg to horizon. Relative height of each bushing h=(0.5-1.0) d and width of rib B= (3.0-4.0) d. Ribs overlap each other by length I=(0.1-0.6) d along horizontal line along movement of air in lateral rows of tubes, where d is outer diameter of heat exchange tube. EFFECT: intensified heat exchange in air cooler by way of reduction of thermal resistance from side of cooled and dried air. 3 dwg
