FIELD: investment casting; may be used in formation of shells and melting out of waxy patterns from solidified shells. SUBSTANCE: layers are dried with use of UHF energy in two stages. At the first stage, layers are heated in rarefied air flow to temperature at which the layer attains temperature of 1-4 C below the temperature of heat stability of used pattern composition. At the second stage, this temperature interval is maintained due to variation of supply of UHF energy. Drying products are continuously removed from the surface of external layers of shells. Temperature of rarefied air flow is 20-25 C at both stages. Patterns are melted out of shells with UHF energy. Two-sided heat flux is produced, heated from outside by heated dry shell, and from inside, by heated upright frame. Introduced additionally into suspension composition during its preparation is active finely divided additive with high dielectric losses. The device for embodiment of the method is provided with members for removing drying product, shell cooling and melting of patterns out of shells. EFFECT: higher process intensification and productivity. 9 cl, 2 dwg
