SUBSTANCE: method involves forming pack of paper sheets superimposed one upon another by stacking paper sheets in longitudinal direction; feeding or advancing obtained system; crumpling it and fixing stacked and crumpled system of paper sheets by providing sequence of point-contact applications of compression force to pack. Mentioned operations are performed in predetermined sequence separately one from another by means of independent devices. Material used for manufacture of lining or sealing members has plurality of transverse creases produced by spontaneous crumpling of paper sheets due to difference in speed between paper sheet feeding system and paper sheet fixing system without breaking continuous sheets and deteriorating strength of paper.
