FIELD: coke and electrode industries. SUBSTANCE: invention deals with coke stock for manufacturing steel- smelting furnace electrodes and anodes used in aluminum production involving electrolysis of cryolite-silica smelts and can be applied in production of wide assortment of products based on various-type structural graphites. Coke stock is thermally treated in retort of calcination furnace at 1000-1400 C. During heat treatment, in each retort of calcination furnace, excessive pressure of gases is provided. According to invention, such condition is most successively fulfilled by feeding into retort, together with pitch coke, an admixture of oil coke, in particular, in the form of coke fine. EFFECT: expanded possibilities of retort-calcination furnaces, reduced coke stock loss in the form of coke fly and burn-out, and also utilized oil coke fine. 3 cl, 4 ex
