FIELD: surgical instruments. SUBSTANCE: retractor is used for operations on abdominal cavity organs. It has operating part and handle. Operating part is provided with fiber-optical light guide and tube for removal of smoke formed during diathermoelectrocoagulation. Handle is connected rigidly to operating part at an angle of 20 deg in order to approach anterior abdominal wall to operated organ by pressing with simultaneous moving aside of surrounding tissues by means of operating part. This type of handle fastening makes it possible to simultaneously reduce depth of wound and to move aside surrounding tissues. As a result, more favorable conditions for operation are provided due to variation of angle between handle and operating part and changing the operating part form. EFFECT: improved design. 1 dwg, 1 ex
