FIELD: construction engineering. SUBSTANCE: grate can be used for stabilization of slopes, cone parts of bridges, for reinforcement of bases of motor roads, airfields, industrial and construction sites and also for stabilization of coastal lines, water basin beds, etc. Grate of cellular structure for stabilization and fixing of ground surface is made of flexible strips produced from compound which contains mixture of high-pressure polyethylene and low-pressure polyethylene. Strips are installed on their ribs and are welded to each other in staggered order. Welding seams are made vertical or at incline relative to ribs of strips at spacing of 0.2-1.0 m from each other and at welding current of 18-25 kHz they possess strength of at least 100 kg/sq.cm. Length of grate is 5.25-7.0 m, width of grate is 1.2-1.4 m. Grate production method is presented in description. Application of aforesaid embodiment of grate enhances load-bearing capacity of stabilized ground surfaces, increases strength and prolongs service life of structures being erected.
