SUBSTANCE: invention relates to new taxane, namely, 4,10-diacetate-2-benzoate of 5β, 20-epoxy-1,2α, 4,7β, - -10β, 13α-hexahydroxytax-11-ene-9-one containing an ester group at position 13 formed by (2R,2S)-N-hexanoyl-3-phenyl-isoserine of the structural formula (I) β which is isolated from bark roots of plants of genus Taxus by extraction. Compound (I) shows the enhanced antitumor activity as compared with that of taxol.
