FIELD: power engineering. SUBSTANCE: deicing installation has thermally stable high-resistance wire and short-circuiting device; thermally stable wire is placed under high-voltage line conductor and spaced from the latter at distance not exceeding permissible sag of high- voltage line. One end of thermally stable wire is secured through insulator string on crossbar at beginning of section being heated and connected to second output of one of power supplies; other end is connected to second output of other power supply and secured on insulator string suspended from additional wire whose weight- carrying end is thrown over pulley block mounted on crossbar at end of section being heated. Short-circuiting device has two contacts mounted on high-voltage line conductor and on thermally stable wire in center of span, one under other. EFFECT: improved efficiency of ice melting due to stepped current regulation. 2 dwg
