SUBSTANCE: proposed indicator designed for checking ice mass on conductors of high-voltage overhead power transmission lines and for recording moment when ice melting ceases has transmitting device; sensing element with pivot rigidly fixed at point of conductor connection to insulator string, this pivot affording rotation of two parts of sensing element relative to one another, each part being provided with rod fixed on one end to conductor by means of fastening units; conductor temperature sensor; power supply; connecting wires used for connecting sensing element, temperature sensor, and transmitting device to power supply.
