FIELD: heat treatment of loose materials; refractory and cement manufacture. SUBSTANCE: furnace lining includes fire bricks on furnace body with metal plates laid between them. In sintering zone, lining is divided into sections; metal plates and fire bricks on section of maximum temperatures equal to length of flame are laid over circumference at a ratio of 1:2 and at a ratio of 1:1 in panels on sections towards edges of sintering zone. EFFECT: smooth thermal stress over length of sintering zone; enhanced resistance of refractory lining; reduced usage of metal. 3 dwg
