FIELD: hydroelectric power engineering. SUBSTANCE: hydraulic turbine has horizontal shaft mounted on two supports and two opposing rectangular blades. The latter are equally spaced from shaft for forced turning about their axes parallel to shaft at angular velocity twice as low as that of shaft in direction opposing sense of shaft rotation. Blade width equals two distances from axis of its rotation to shaft edge. Blade surface above shaft is aligned with vertical plane crossing shaft axis. Planes of blades are spaced 90 deg. apart.
