FIELD: wind power engineering. SUBSTANCE: proposed windmill can be used in power generating plants of different power output. Windmill consists of shaft installed for free rotation vertically in support and blades installed for rotation around their axles and arranged at equal distance from shaft. Blades are mechanically coupled with driving sprocket through chain drive. Winding has two rectangular streamlined-shape blades capable of rotating around their axles parallel to shaft axis at rotation of shaft and motionless driving sprocket, t angular velocity half of angular velocity of shaft and directed to side opposite to direction of shaft rotation. Width of blade is equal to tow-fold distance from shaft edge to blade rotation axle. Angle between planes of blades is equal to 90 deg. EFFECT: increased efficiency of windmill. 3 cl, 6 dwg
