FIELD: oil pollution removal. SUBSTANCE: sorbent contains (i) mixture of fractions of C9-C17-, C18-C21- and C22-C27-alkylcarboxylic acids at weight ratio form 0.2:1:1 to 2:3:7 in combination with hydrophobic component of the type of alkylcarboxylic acid esters with general formula RCOOR' where R' is C1-C8-alkyl and R is C8-C16-, C17-C20- or C21-C28-alkyl, and (ii) nonwoven fibrous natural or synthetic material, into with reinforcing and antishrinking components are additionally incorporated. Reinforcing components are preferably thermoplastic polymer and glass-cloth elements, polymer composites based on organosilicon compound with oriented fibers, and glass-cloth laminates.
