FIELD: measurement technology, determination of forms of notches of U- and V-shaped stress concentrators on surfaces of solid bodies. SUBSTANCE: method determining forms of profiles of notches on surfaces of solid bodies consists in direction of X-ray radiation beam on to tested notch along its sides, in reception of X-ray radiation by rotary detector fitted with slot collimator. Section of X-ray beam in this case should be not less than size of tested notch. Spatial distribution of intensity of straight X-rays in beam is measured with rotation of detector along Rouland circle used to determine form of profile of notch.
