FIELD: radio engineering, in particular, for detection of errors in digital information transmission systems. SUBSTANCE: method involves additional detection of transmitted pseudorandom sequence at outputs of tested units of equipment under investigation, calculation of its statistical characteristics and detection of clipping parameters using these characteristics in order to identify technical condition of digital information transmission systems with desired precision and validity.
