FIELD: cleaning waste water from slime and silt accumulated during operation of industrial and agricultural engineering. SUBSTANCE: press-filter consists of load-bearing framework where many shafts of different standard sizes are mounted. Two upper and lower endless belts-sieves are passed between shaft. Rotation of shafts is effected through drive shafts by means of mechanical drive. Tension of belt sieves is effected by means of intermediate shafts. Belt sieves are matched in zone of initial pressing which contains auxiliary rolls and first squeezing shaft. Force required for matching the belt sieves is regulated by upward and downward motion of roll by means of helical gear train; liquid coagulated slime is fed to upper sieve where free filtration of liquid fraction of slime is performed. During motion of belt sieves, dehydrated slime is partially transferred from upper belt to lower belt. Then belt sieves are matched and liquid slime is placed between them and is admitted to zone of initial pressing with preadjusted position of rolls: either belt sieves squeeze circular surface at radius R or two-sided squeezing of belts between rolls is set.
