BELT-TYPE PRESS-FILTER FOR DEHYDRATION OF SLUDGE AND SILT Russian patent published in 2001 - IPC

FIELD: cleaning water of sludge and silt. SUBSTANCE: proposed press-filter includes load-bearing frame with many various shafts mounted in it. Two endless belt-type sieves passed between shafts: one sieve is lower and one sieve is upper. Operation of shaft-and-belt transmission is effected by means of drive shaft and two other shafts equipped with mechanical drive. Tension of belt-type sieves is effected by means of tension shafts mounted in movable supports and equipped with hydraulic drives. Belt-type sieves are matched on shaft and then are rolled over several shafts to point of their separation on upper drive shaft. Minimum pressure of pressing is smoothly increased to maximum. Technological mode of pressing the sludge is set according to predetermined force of tension of belt-type sieves. Tension of belts is effected as follows: during operation of hydraulic system, valve is opened and working fluid is delivered under pressure simultaneously to all four hydraulic drives through pipe line; as a result, rods of hydraulic drives are extended setting in motion the carriages of movable supports together with tension shafts and belt-types sieves; rise of pressure in hydraulic drives is checked against pressure gauge and as soon as required pressure has been obtained, valve is closed. Parallel position of tension shafts relative to fixed shafts of press-filter is adjusted through adjusting the position of carriages by mean reading of meter scale found on guide column. After adjustment, all carriages of movable supports are fixed by means of grip clamps. EFFECT: simplified construction of press-filter due to avoidance of device for check and adjustment of transversal run- off of belt-type sieves; enhanced smoothness of longitudinal travel of belts during operation of belt-and-shaft transmission. 3 dwg
