FIELD: size reduction processes. SUBSTANCE: invention is designed for manufacturing fine powders via thermochemical decomposition of liquid reagents pulverized in high-temperature heat carrier in straight-flow cylindrical reactor with vortex protection of reaction canal surface. In the initial phase of process, lining layer from final product particles is formed on reaction canal surface by establishing value of gas vortex flow rate 4- 4.7 times superior to main flow rate. Formation of lining layer completed, vortex flow rate is lowered to its normal value. Formation of lining layer is conducted until temperature of outside wall of apparatus is lowered by 100-150 C. EFFECT: reduced regularity of process stopping required for cleaning equipment, increased final product purity and homogeneity, and reduced power consumption. 2 cl, 1 tbl
