FIELD: metallurgy, particularly, production of isotropic electrical steel used in manufacture of electric motor magnetic circuits. SUBSTANCE: method includes melting, hot rolling, cooling, pickling of hot-rolled strips, cold rolling, decarburizing-recrystallization annealing. After hot rolling with at least 13% of reduction in last pass, cooling of hot-rolled strips for 6-20 s is carried out in air and then with water spraying. The cooling process at the end of hot rolling results in fully recrystallized structure with equiaxed grains that leads to increase of favorable texture components, particularly (110). EFFECT: excluded normalizing operation from process without impairing magnetic properties of ready made steel. 1 tbl
