DREDGING PUMP Russian patent published in 1999 - IPC

FIELD: manufacture of pumps; construction of insertion members protecting the pump housing against hydraulic and abrasive wear; pumps used for transportation of sand and gravel hydraulic mixtures. SUBSTANCE: pump housing has branch pipe and armored disks made in form of metal disks with lugs for securing them to housing by means of bolts. Each armored disk is provided with multi-layer envelope made from rubber-textile tape wound radially on metal disk. Working side of multi-layer envelope is provided with protective coat; inner surface of branch pipe is lined with insertion members made in form of metal skeleton with row of through holes gummed on either side. Branch pipe consists of two halves having steel insertion members with lugs for attachment which are coated with multi-layer rubber-textile envelope and protective layer of rubber on working side and rubber-textile ferrule having multi-layer rubber-textile skeleton coated with protective layer of rubber on working side; they are fastened by means of bolted joints. EFFECT: increased strength of fastening; of rubber layer in branch pipe; reduced usage of rubber; probability of repair of worn layer of rubber coat. 4 dwg
