Abstract RU 2133908 C1

FIELD: construction; may be used in construction and repairs of pipelines. SUBSTANCE: device has metal expanding bushing made of corrosion-resistant band whose ends are provided with lock joint and bandage saturated with polymer binder. Successively located on flexible shell of expanding member are spirally twisted metal band and spirally twisted bandage saturated with polymer binder. Expanding member is introduced into pipeline, in zone of pipe welded joint. Supplied to flexible shell at rated pressure is working medium, for instance, compressed air. Flexible shell is expanded and it presses bandage and metal band at rated pressure to internal surface of pipeline. Rated pressure exerted on bandage is fixed by lock joint at band ends. During pressing the bandage, some amount of polymer binder is squeezed out to form beads at ends of expanding bushing that adds to anticorrosive protection of zone of pipeline welded joint during pumping of product through pipeline in service.
